HP Tuners for 2005-2015

I would even go so far as to say that those that have posted that sort of thing in this, or other threads, should go back and either edit or delete those posts. Every time I see a post where there’s pictures and or tales of removed bits, I cringe at the thought of the wrong people getting wind of it. It’s a simple google search away for anyone to see everything posted here.

 

You aren't wrong for that! The truck is still a solid truck but was hit in the rear twice. minimal damages but still had work and it does show on the carfax so unless these fools are modifying docs to say otherwise....

Nope, the speedo is controlled by the ABS ECU if I remember correctly from prior chatter here.

Hypertech will get you squared away. They are pretty strict on their map pricing. I got lucky one day with a 20% off coupon on ebay and purchased one on there.

 

Is anyone noticing removed functionality? I'm thrilled to have the rev hang removed but I'm concerned that if I do any more changes they'll force it back on as well as any other changes. I came across these on a hp tuners Facebook group.

 

Always keep your original file. If you have the software, then you can always modify it yourself, or go back and forth. It won't change wirelessly, on the ECU.

 

I am disappointed to learn that unannounced changes (i.e., removals) in capabilities are being made, especially for those of us who may want to make certain changes for off-road/track use.

Good advice, but HPT's response implies functionality will disappear from tune files when VCM Suite is updated. Assuming I understand what they said correctly, that SUCKS. Are you saying keep both tune and (old) VCM Suite files? If so, it would be a PITA (but a good idea) for us to keep track of the latest VCM version that supports changes we (want to) make.

But this is happening to all software, not specific to HPT really. The software is still amazing

 

We dont have an egr.... and SAI functionality is uh... for CAT life, not emissions... fingers crossed.

 

Hmm. I haven’t removed the SAI yet, it’s just disabled.
