    Yes.

There's transmission torque management and engine torque management.

You confirmed what i was seeing in the logs as far as the higher one taking precedence and about a 3 sec delay. Not going crazy any more haha.

For some reason i got it in my head that they were percentage additive. Meaning if you had a multiplier of 1.5 (50% more fuel) and another multiplier of 1.5 (50%) it would "add up" to 2.0 .... but now that i look at that logic i must of been heavily drunk

Whats the engine torque management do? never quite understood that.

It’s confusing to term them separately because truly there is only engine torque management of course. That said, I’ll let JustDSM explain what he meant

Interesting. Makes sense. Obviously way more going on "behind the scenes" than the editable tables. I wish there was a flowchart per say on how things interlink and what does what in relation to what . LOL

    It's DLX son!
This existed for the old Bosch ECUs I used to play with tuning VWs. It was directly from Bosch and created for their customers.

I am sure Denso/Toyota have the same, but would seem they aren't being shared very freely.

You can make a flow chart through the code.

Also you can find some in Toyota patents

I'll help out and give you one freebie :p

It takes some work and digging, but it's all out there. It's not always in one single document either. They sadly don't print a reverse engineer manual :)

This has some good flow charts that align with the code.
Interesting the combustion pressure calculations based on MBT.

In the code it is very hard to "recognize" this would be a calculation / deviation of end cylinder pressure.

Back on fueling. Im liking what im seeing outta the maps i have setup. Thanks again JustDSM for clearing up how PE and comp protection fueling takes place as far as precedent of the greater value.

At WOT a taper from 12:1 down to 11.6ish:1 (assuming stoich is 14.6) at sealevel under mild ambient (almost "control" 68*F) temps. Not quite as easy as one thinks as the air load decreases as you go up in the rpms at WOT. I gotta little bit of tweaking at the under 4k rpm mark at higher loads but overall, pretty good. Those changes will go in on the next flash which includes some slight timing tweaks and potentially other random things after more logging. (after my bad flash over summer... i limit my number of flashes... ecu brick ptsd)

You can see first gear is all under PE and then once the shift to second occurs the "timer" for comp protection elapses and the EQ comp map takes over and follows airload.

Logs taken on closed course, of course.

EDIT - also... them LTFT's are getting damned close... im +- 1.5% bank average or less !!! 5th revision of maf calibration. More accurate air in, means more accurate everything!

I know I am like really late to the party but I just ordered my hptuners kit. I ordered straight from hptuner because all the ones on ebay seemed to be only like $10 cheaper. I figured it was time since I bought the 4runner trd intake and maf. @JustDSM I will be hitting you up soon.

My question for everyone here is this: since I have had an ultragauge plugged into my obd2 port pretty much since I have owned the truck is there anything I should do to make sure the obd socket is ok? I know people had issues in the past or has that been pretty much worked out?

    Thanks guys!

Once you get your MPVI2 in, I'd recommend firing up the VCM Scanner and doing a Datalog before any flashing. If you can stream that data, you'll not have any issues with the reflashing process.

All of the software issues are a thing of the past at this point. If you have the proper voltage, and you're USB cable is in good shape, there's little to no chance you're going to run into any "surprises". They really did a great job revamping the write procedure.
