Do any of you guys know if the front seat bag sensors can be phased out? I just swapped out my seats for some Corbeaus and had to disconnect my airbags.

Not aware HP has any feature like this for any model. I haven’t even seen it in techstream. Metal Tech is a company in California just google them. I think it is metal tech 4x4.

Feel fuckin awesome!!! So glad I did this. I aimed to lower my seat height. It is down about 2-2&1/2”. Now it is much more comfy for my tall ass not feeling like I’m gonna hit the roof with my head. The bolsters are awesome, they really hug you. The seat pad Is stiff but much more comfortable than I anticipated. The quality is great, just as advertised.

Congratulations, you just convinced me to add these (or similar) to the 2021 buy list.

I was gonna order the Corbeau Baja xrs model. But when I saw that these had even a lower seat pad height, I went with these. Corbeau Sportline evolution (reclining).

The Metaltech sims were made by a 3rd party (Scott McClure). I bought some off him directly and saved some $ but I haven't been able to get his ear recently. From what I can tell, other endeavors (racing) are going well for him so making SRS sims may be a thing of the past. He was making them for toyota/scions etc.

I noticed the other thread were a member has successfully accomplished the same thing that Scott was making. @JuanitoBunito you're on the right track.

And no, I was curious about that when HP tuner was released and would have adopted immediately....but HP Tuner isnt able to manipulate SRS/airbag stuff.

I just got in touch with a member that is gonna take care of me. Just need to cut off the yellow plug wit some wire still attached to it, solder ina ohm resistor and inline fuse. That solves the problem. I did see the malttech sims are no longer being done.

Being someone that also wishes to lower seat height. Do you mind grabbing a measurement from the lowest part of the seat cushion to headliner? Also did you use their mounts? Looks good btw

Thanks man. I did a bunch of research prior to buying. I was gonna get the Baja xrs seats from them until I saw these. I saw that these were like 2” lower than the other ones. I bought the seats and sliders from corbeau. These (sliders) are model specific so I figured why look elsewhere......standby for a measurement

Much as gracias. Just checked my stock ones with my modified mounts and I’m at 40” as well. I want to go lower for more headroom between the cage. Thanks

It cannot. The airbag system has its own independent ECU.
