For just that, if you'd like, I can eliminate them if you buy the credits so you can save the cost of the unit since you're using Haltech for your fuel/ign.

I should also note that this package also includes a logger. I'll have some screenshots of that possibly late tonight (after Supercross).

I've got updates! I've gotten ahold of a 2011 4.0L Auto Calibration and have screenshots of the transmission tables. See below:

Did you register/update the firmware on the module before you tried to read from the vehicle? And.. Are you running the latest full-version of the VCM Suite or the Beta? You need to use the Beta for Toyota at this point.

You da man @JustDSM! I'll make the drive to you at some point to help me tune this thing if you are willing. You may be one of only a few in here that know how to tune and I'm looking forward to learning.

So I've never messed with tuning before but I'm kinda interested. What's the difference between this and a tune like OVTune? This seems more complicated. I checked out the site last night.

Can I get a dummy explanation of what this can do/change?
Can an owner get the bloody throttle to do what its told when its told? (rev hang/lazy throttle response)

With OVTune and most other companies like Bullydog, SCT, etc. What you are getting is a pre programmed tune that a tuner developed.
What we are getting is the ability to actually tune all of the engine and trans parameters rather than buying a tune that cannot be manipulated or changed with engine mods.

Basically it's a helluva lot more work but allows the user to tune their engine precisely to their level of mods.

Edit: This is not for the faint of heart. You can grenade your engine if you dont know what you're doing.

Well, sounds like I won't be doing this one then. I don't know enough about this kind of stuff yet. But it also sounds like there's not much point in getting the OVTune for a N/A 4.0 with only an intake and a muffler swap... Thanks for the info!

Or you can buy it and have a tuning shop tune it for you. Hptuners is pretty popular in other applications so their is more familiarity with the software, assuming the Toyota software is similar.

With OVTune, you get promises, delays and excuses. So far, this seems to be much more than that.

Thanks man! I'd be more than happy to get you squared away!! I think we may need to get a Dyno Day scheduled for all of us TX folk!

The other option is to pay for credits from someone capable of tuning it, and at that point you're essentially getting what you would from OVTune but having the calibration being specific to your vehicle and not a generic tune. The credits to tune your truck would cost ~$200, and that's a lot less than OVTune is charging for a flash!
