My wife is modest and won't let me post pics of her. Here is the view from the blind right before she shot....hunt of a lifetime, although this is not the first time we have had lions come into water while sitting then for elk.

I'd love to take a long tail... I have a history with one. Back in high school, I bow hunted my great uncle's place. I would always get in 2hrs early on a morning hunt to sit and let everything forget I came through. One morning I came in full leaf suit and set up on a small game trail at the edge of a creek drop off to hunt the deer trail on the other side of the creek. I got settled in on a 5gal bucket and dozed off. I am usually real good about moving real slow (even when waking up) to check out any noises, but this morning I wasn't. A twig broke real close to me, and I jerked awake. When I did, all I could see was a huge cat face, right in my face. I fell over backwards out of fright, and whatever "it" was had the same reaction.
I high tailed it out of there and got home, somehow not realizing my arm was covered in fire ants. I told my dad about it and he didn't believe me. A few hours later, when the sun was good and up, we went out there to "prove me wrong" and found a print the size of a CD right next to the bucket I left.... I could have reached out and touched the damn thing.

There a tool. But you still have to do the leg work. This bull summers 10 miles away. Had pics of him all summer at that location but I had a good idea where he would go to rut and I built her blind there hoping he would show up and the week before the hunt started he came in with a small group of cows. The rest is history.

I don't understand the restrictions on game cameras. All they provide is previous history and inventory information. If you check them often enough to really build a pattern, you stink an area up bad enough the pattern changes anyways.

You can't use those or any communication devices- no radios etc. Pretty strict here.

I think my TRD Sport can handle all the pheasants I might get when I head over to South Dakota in Oct.

its whiskey after all and its all great. I love it.
But ya obviously being Canadian I mostly drink rye.
If you haven't tried it and are interested Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye won for whiskey of the year and it really is great.

Pretty much going to be hitting the road solo with my two dogs for a week at a time bird hunting. Going to try just the truck, tarp, my backpack, small cooler and 3 small boxes like the one seen in the pic. Going to go light this year..

What size Noah's tarp is that? I see they come in 4 sizes.

    12x12.

I've got some room to move it a little farther back, but I want to make sure I cover the sides enough for full rain coverage. Gives me enough room to get out of the sun and rain in a chair and cook on the tailgate.

It looks great. I am trying to determine if there is a way to use one with my RTT for some extra protection or when I have my RTT off if I could use it to cover my entire bed for a quick shelter?
