But where does it end? With the antis and UA it ends with no hunting. They are specifically calling out primitive techniques as now being "Unethical". That includes trad archery or even an atlatl.

Thanks! They are great dogs and they love to hunt. It's made hunting so much more fun with them.

There are a few Weimers in our NAVHDA group and most do very well. It's cool to see all the different versatile breeds working. Munstenlanders, Spinones, Grif's, Viszla's- it's like an International Breed conference when we get together, lol.

We took our dogs in for their annual pre-hunting physicals on Saturday. My big boy is now 85lbs. He's a knucklehead.

At first I thought he was kind of retarded while pointing. He had this 'lift my rear leg' thing that was weird, but he was on a bird.

    Schnitzelpointing_zps66177e09_a5cef293c3141581036685d886ffcaeca3d96df3.jpg

    471C6BCA-8146-4BC7-81D2-65E93532B705_zps_cff2e490aca4a09b70fbdb8fbb97c1bb709ed554.jpg

Then we figured him out. When the bird is close- within 30 yards or gun range, he has a tendency to lift the hind leg. If it's a far point- he simply freezes. In that second photo he was literally inches from a rooster, lol.

ya man that's a work or art right there you and your dogs are on a whole other level haha my dog's where trained by myself in my back yard so they were good enough to hunt with great at holding a point terrible at the retrieve haha that had a tendency to chew up the birds pretty good almost like it was there reward.

No I agree with you 100%. I'm just talking about my personal preference to only kill what I or others can eat. He legally harvested the bear, I bet it took a pair of stones to calm his adrenaline and make that shot. That fatso on the trigglypuff video was hilarious!

Sorry, late to the thread, but I beg to differ.
I've hunted whitetails for a very long time in a few different states, and my area of Ct. has no shortage of large bucks, antler size as well as body weight.
First two pics were in my front yard a few years back, 3rd pic is last years buck in watershed ground near my house....

There are big bucks everywhere. They don't get big by being seen or shot, lol.

There was a spot in WV that held a few monsters. It was in a largely inaccessible area, down in a steep ravine, craggy rocks and brush. We had a stand at the top of the ridge and every so often we would spy him waaaaaay down there. You had to glass every inch of brush pile to find him. It would have been a weekend affair to set up and get to him, let alone get him out.

Yeah I'll pass. I'll take his dumber offspring, lol.
