How are things on the coast? Oak island is apparently only experiencing winds and heavy rain but nothing too serious

So there’s a boat ramp there that goes down about 30 feet to the river typically

Thank you for your helpful posts.

I am wondering what Kure beach/area will look like after this storm. It is 4wd friendly.

The frontage roads and parking lots look bad.

Replacing everything worn, broken, and rusted.
Union county roads taking on alot of water. Several not passable. Noticeably more rain today than yesterday.

It's just the beginning. I'm sure it'll be completely flooded over by this evening or early tomorrow. That area got hammered with flooding during Matthew and Flo is dumping more rain to my knowledge.

Absolutely! Who really knows with all the flooding. It's going to take weeks if not months for that area to recover.

I saw video on the news this morning of military hum-vee's driving around making rescues. Ther were driving and the water was just about to the roof line on them.

Planing on camping down at Fort Fisher next weekend with the taco. That is if it’s still accessible.
