Hurricane Florence

I'm in Florence. The new truck I just bought is farther inland at the dealership in Lugoff. I'm driving a loaner Camry until they call me to come pick it up, probably tomorrow.

 

I'd love to talk my wife into this.

 

It’s 4am, got two hours of sleep since 11:30 running the numbers. I got a sickening feeling I’m going to need my chainsaw, too bad the SOB is still in VA with half of my other crap I could use.

 

Don't forget the dishwasher trick y'all. Waterproof-ish and not often looked in by looters

You all stay safe down there. Ghost town was bought by two ex Disney executives supposed to open next year. Maybe some good news for Maggie Valley.

Ive got 30 gal of fuel ready for the generator, I last time we had a major storm we lost power for a week.

 

Filled my 100# LP tank, have 20 gal gasoline for the genny, put a new carb and chain on the chainsaw, stocked up canned/dry goods, got batteries, tarps, etc.... now it looks like VA won't be impacted. Wish I could give my prep stuff to you guys in NC/SC.

 

Might still need it with the other two forming/heading this way.

Prayers for everyone on the coast. I am about 400 miles in land, just west of Roanoke Va and were expecting a pretty significant impact here even.

 

I'm about 20 minutes south of Savannah. Hurricanes suck!

 

Might need to put those evacs back in place for the lower counties with both models impacting SC more now.
