As of right now they are predicting 22" of rain for Baton Rouge and 20" for New Orleans. The storm is stationary so the longer it sits the more rain we are going to get. What's it like everywhere else?

Just alot of rain and wind in Biloxi, as expected, but nothing major so far. I think they said 6-8" over here last time I watched the news.

There's a hurricane happening? Hmmm couldn't tell at all. Guess that's why it's a little windy today.

Be careful on your way in. It hasn't gotten near that bad here. Tonight we should get it.

That almost doesn't surprise me that the water topped it again. The worst part about the storm we are worried about is that it's not moving very fast so it will dump some rain on us. I know the unit I was with when I was still in is in New Orleans right now. You in BR Bowen?

Yeah, stayed in BR. Our biggest thing is the wind and rain knocking over trees. And if you've ever been to Baton Rouge during a storm you know that the city doesn't drain worth a shit. Especially if the Amite and Comite reach floodstage.

Yea the drainage in BR sucks big time. Just stay on high ground and wait it out.

That's the plan. Just park the truck in the highest spot I can find and ride it out
