Fit of the Weathertechs is great, but the material of the Huskies is better...now someone needs to combine them both

So I've always had Husky Liners in my vehicles. Used to be they were a little less in price, so that was the first consideration. I can't remember why, but I got Weather Tech for the Tacoma. This was either my first or second set. I hated them. The fit was a little off. The passenger side would slide around when someone was getting in (only a problem on older 3rds). And even with a scrub brush and un-diluted cleaner I could never get them completely clean. I fixed the passenger slip and slide issue by adding retention deals that look like the ones on the driver side. To make it work right I would need to order another set of liners for the front. This time I ordered Husky Liner and quickly remembered why I liked them better. I still have the Weather Tech in the back, but don't care because no one sits back there. Some day I may trash them and get the Husky Liner.

    Thems my two pennies.

I have the Husky weatherbeaters and absolutely love them. SUPER easy to wipe clean unlike the narrow channels that the weathertechs have. and the material is much easier to clean compared to the textured surface of the weathertechs. they also seem to have a much better form and fitment.

I've had both and Husky X-Act Contour is much better IMO. And it covers the dead pedal.

I had Husky in a Nissan a few years ago, were great. Had really high sidewalls which did a great job holding all the water form melted snow. The Toyota OEM ones came in my new TRD, I don't like them. Taking a look at both Weathertech and Husky, just going to go with who ever has the highest sides.

I upgraded to husky x-act contours liners from my 1 toyota OEM mat that was meant for an auto. They do a great job at catching all the snow and water from MN winters but they are a little slick. no issues with retention tho.

There’s nothing biased about this thread is there? Lol. Sounds like a collection of shills from Husky. I had a problem with the weather tech drivers side mat catching clutch pedal on my X Runner, I simply cut off a small piece using exacto knife. Since then they’ve changed the design to account for this.

For cleaning use something like simple green or purple power degreaser, even the wheel cleaner or bug remover you’d find at coin op car wash with a bristle brush. Don’t forget to wash the other side too. Husky or Weather Tech mats are vast improvement over stock and are priced about same, both are made in America, I like that.

it would be nice if the Husky mats came in other colors besides black, I like the mats to match or blend in not be a focal point. I’ve had about ten vehicles with these mats and haven’t worn them out. Either brand is a definite step up.

if they ever do fade or look flat in color because you used a harsh cleaner use a non greasy interior dressing to bring them back to looking good....

It’s not Huskys problem they have the superior product*

*this is my opinion based on my Husky liners vs the Weathertechs in my dads F150. He thinks the Husky’s are better material fwiw

Had Weathertechs, hard to clean and very slippery when wet. No such problems with the Husky X Act.IMG_0040.jpg

    Like, so many.
I like my WTs. They fit well, but they are difficult to get completely clean.
