The lights on the circuit board should blink a fault code. Like Joey said, pay attention to a gas odour. Squat in front of the unit when it goes through the
start cycle to confirm. I'm guessing your igniter/glow plug is history.

i'm not heating with gas. heat exchanger with hot water (see pic above)

 

the way i was tought for a humidifier was you need a circle. the green wire, that is grounded to the screw to the right is sorta confusing me.

 

yeah me too. my crack HVAC guy was less than impressive

 

I think humidifier water valve solenoid and fan are wired in together since they should only be on simultaneosly

 

also, the wiring for the humi does not go into furnace cabinet, it's spliced into t stat wire outside cabinet

 

I'm gonna unhook humi and see what happens

ok, I unhooked humi and cut power to furnace and turned back on and ran about a minute this time. house is 70 and t stat set at 90. so perhaps a little different, but still doesn't seem right...?

 

Does it make sense that the humi wired into t stat could cause these issues?

No! However you never know what mistakes the installer made. Why dont you isolate the humidifier control wires from the t'stat and the circuit board.

Not sure what you mean? Right now I have humi unhooked from 24v t stat wire

 

your humidistat should only have 2 wires ran to it. should not be spliced or anything. the 2 yellow wires that have wire nuts to them... they dont look like they have any wires on them. (on the humidifier)

 

With house at 70 and t stat set to 80, shouldnt this thing be blowing continuously for several minutes, not on and off every 30 to 60 secs?
