So, just picked up a '19 Off-Road & my first impressions of it after not owning a truck for 25+ years is I am extremely delighted with it. One thing that bothered me real quickly was how at most angles the indicator pointers on the rotary knobs are hidden from view? I took some fluorescent paint & touched up the top & front of the knob indicators. Can be seen in low light & at any angle now!IMG_20190408_103606.jpg

I like this idea! I get confused once in a while when the indicator blends in with the other lines on the knobs. What paint did you use?

    Also, welcome to TW!

    None yet, several planned
That is a pretty good idea, may have to try it with some inferno touch up paint.

Did you take the knobs off to paint them?

No.. Just a steady hand. Apply with a toothpick if you prefer.

Aren't they back lit? If so, can you still see the indicator at night?

IIRC, they are not. The icons in the front face are, but the indicators on the outside aren't. Certain knob position & certain driver views obscure the view of the indicator. The paint dab makes them visible daytime too.

Good call fd! Ran home after work to check, the indicators are backlit too. Much easier to see at night. Visible at almost any angle. A little dab of paint makes them visible in the daytime.

Good idea! Sometimes its the simple things....

BTW, it would have been OK to use your own nail polish. :anonymous:

I've got a few containers that my wife wouldn't be caught dead wearing. Ex. Silver, Orange, Yellow, Black. They're handy to have at times like this.

I've even got some glow in the dark green. Hmmmm
