So one of the negatives I didn't realize when choosing a hybrid model is with the addition of the larger inverter, the standard console safe options don't fit. So far it seems like the only one that will work is the Toyota OEM one. Does anyone know of any other manufacturers out there or am I stuck buying the OEM? Not that I normally mind but it seems some people have had issues with the locks not working properly and I'd hate to have to get a locksmith because of some shoddy mechanicals. Appreciate any input, thanks!

The Toyota safe lock mechanism hasn't failed me since purchased with the vehicle in Aug '24. I use it just about every time. It is pretty solid unit and I would get it again.

I’ve not seen one of these in person. Is there room for a tray above the safe?

I appreciate that, good to know. For reference I saw it on Amazon reviews saying they had issues. I feel like there aren't enough people with them to really know one way or the other (i.e. if the person with the problem had a fluke).

I’ve had the OEM safe since purchase in March. Zero issues. Use it all the time.
