Hydraulic Fitting Advice

Didnt know if anyone on TW had any experience with hydraulic systems?

Having a hell of a time with all of the systems on the boat. Most of the fittings are hydraulic pipe - which sucks, in my opinion. Literally, every single fitting, valve and seal is leaking. It's unbelievable. Any suggestions as to the cause?

 

are the steel or aluminum brass????

 

I'll get some shots if I can...heading out tonight to go fishing though.

All fittings are steel - all inferior hydraulic pipe thread. All of the leaks are on pipe to pipe connections - hose to pipe connections are mostly okay. It's incredibly frustrating how pipe fittings are so suceptible to leaks due to small machine defects, not enough sealant, etc.

they only answer i think off would be the shitty one. reseal them . hopefully there not all corroded to hell

 

Yeah I know...man it sucks.

Pipe fittings with hydros are so f'n temperamental. I resell any pipe threads whenever I service anything in that circuit...even if they just get turned a fraction of an inch, it's enough to break the seal

Oh and the last engineer was fond of Teflon tape...moron.
