So I finally noticed a small issue I am having with these lights. I have my truck lights set to AUTO. Sometimes I notice that my passenger light doesn't come on. My drivers light will be on and that is it. As soon as I put my headlights to ON the passenger light comes on also. I think I actually turned the lights off and then went to ON and they both were on. So only a small issue. I am not running the relay for these lights. I am using the trucks stock wiring. That might make a difference possibly. So it is only a small hiccup, but I would be curious to know what people think might be the problem or a possible corrective action. Maybe the inline relay would correct this issue?

I have the Morimoto setup with relay harness, and I noticed this as well, but with my driver’s light. In attempting to debug it I finally got it to not come on a couple times even with going all the way to on instead of auto. They ended up replacing the igniter for me and so far, fingers crossed, that has fixed it.

The igniter? So is this part of the ballast I take it or bulb?

I had some Morimoto's on my previous car and I had a similar issue. One of the ballasts wouldn't fire every time. The issue seemed to get worse when the temperatures dropped. I would have to cycle the lights on and off a couple of times before that ballast would fire. A new ballast fixed the issue.

Just installed these lights and they are very bright. No jiggle or bounce effects.

Can anyone give me a hand here? I just installed a set and I was left with a "extra" plug by the end. :facepalm:I can't for the life of me find what it plugs into. All the lights work, cycled thru blinkers, hazards, hi/lo beams, fogs, etc. I was real careful to keep track of anything I unplugged which makes me think I must have accidentally yanked it out of something, maybe while moving around trying to squeeze behind wiper fluid reservoir.

So far here's what I got:
-From what I can tell it doesn't go to any of the lights.
-It's part of the same harness that plugs into the wiper fluid reservoir.
-All wiper functions are as normal including and the spray works as well.

here are some pics for reference.
Thanks for any and all help.:help:

If anyone would be willing to take a peek under their hood for me, I would be much obliged.

Did you use a single relay harness that is only using the input from the driver's side?

It's an extra! Like seriously, an extra plug that was sitting unattended under the washer reservoir.
It was actually covered in this thread months ago, so when I did mine (soon after coming across that topic) I wasn't surprised.

If you used a single relay, like a lot of us did, then you would have two plugs leftover over on the passenger side.

Thanks for the help guys. Looks like it’s an unused plug for some kind of heat sensor in Canadian model Tacos. I used a harness with dedicated relays for each side. The plug also does not match any of the light plugs and splits off from the same harness that plugs into the washer fluid reservoir. I made a separate post ‘cause I was panicking and this is what other members concluded, and some confirmed to have the same “extra” plug.

Maybe I'm stupid bu I can't seem to find the diode dynamics HD relay harness on their site. Are there other options?

I'm looking to grab this for my wife's T4R.
