i know this has been discussed in the past, but can someone please confirm the polarity I have is correct? Its weird to me that the polarity is different between the OEM connector and the adapter, but thats the only way it makes a fully seated connection.

Reading thru previous posts, I couldn't tell if they were ALL supposed to have the same polarity or if what I have is expected. See picture below
