Yup. It arrived last Saturday. I haven't installed it yet - truck's at the dealership for some unrelated electrical problems (my fault). Not going to install the HIDs until those issues are resolved.

Smart thinking....wouldn't want them trying to pin the blame on the HIDs....same reason I waited to install until after I got replacement headlamps. Didn't want them to think I damaged them doing an install when that wasn't the case. Good luck, let me know if I can help.

Thanks. Truck's not starting when cold. Computer turns on, but doesn't crank. Error message says to check charging system. Been dealing with this for a few weeks. Hard as hell to diagnose and reproduce consistently. When this happens, starter motor doesn't get power. Techs say voltage fluctuates from 8v to 12v randomly when it does run. All grounds are fine, all fuses are fine, all relays are fine, alternator is fine, battery is fine (was load tested). Perhaps the certification ECU or the main ECU. Or something messed up on the main harness. They're running it through some massive problem-solving flow today... fingers crossed they figure it out.

That error message will always display when ignition is on but engine isn't running, as the alternator isn't providing additional power to charge anything.

What you're describing sounds like not enough current to initiate the relay needed to send power to the starter. Same thing happens when your battery is dying, not enough cold cranking amps, relay doesn't fire, no start. We used to get slow cranks and then eventually it dies but with relays now just a click and nothing.

My money is the battery...load testing may not be enough to show a problem in cold cranking amps.

Thanks for the tip. Just texted that possibility to the tech. I would be so happy if it was just a question of replacing the battery.

Work like they are supposed to. No jiggle, nice light, good projection cut off line identical to the oem. Taped the upper horizontil line the oem lights made projected on my Shop bay door. Installed the Hids and their cutoff was right on the same taped line. If Flashed, you mean by an oncoming driver? Then no. At least not when my truck is not loaded to the nuts. Only time highbeamed was when coming back from my Moose hunt, north of Fort St James, towing my 8 wheelArgo in it's trailer. Had a pretty good load on in back of truck too. Even then was only blinked at a couple times.

Thanks, yeah I was referring to a flash by an oncoming driver. Just curious if the extra lumens are too much with the squirrel spotter tabs, but seems like they are okay :)

H11b for the hids. the difference is h11b has the return wire on the appropriate side in the projector housing to avoid a shadow in the beam pattern.

Finally got around to installing these bad boys. I used the exact same parts & harness that @Scooby24 did. Initially the lights did not work. I re-checked all connections, re-tightened the ground & positive, still no lights. I had originally connected the harness' "signal" cable to the original driver's side light connection. In a debugging attempt, I put the connector that came w/ the HID kit in between these two cables (essentially making the wires longer, no other purpose), and ta-da, the lights lit up. I checked polarity and tried to re-seat the harness' connector directly into the OEM lights cable, but couldn't get that to work. I'm guessing that for whatever reason the harness' "signal" connector does not fully sit/connect the terminals in the OEM lights connector. Have to run that extra wire in between the two. Whatever, not a big deal.

The light output is insane. Don't think I've ever had such powerful headlights before. Haven't driven outside the city (ie. no light pollution) yet, but in city traffic there's a ridiculous difference in the power of these lights and those in other cars on the road. I foresee that being stuck behind domestic chromemobiles will be uncomfortable, as their chrome will reflect the light right back into my eyes!

There's a pretty distinct blue line at the cut-off, and these lights have "highlighted" the OEM projector's uneven cutoff line. Not too crazy about that, but it should be okay.

    A few quick photos:

Weird those adapters are h11 to 9006, shouldn't need those. You're probably right with it just not connecting good. Maybe try pushing the male prongs in the connectors to be sure they are seating well. Glad to see they are working well otherwise. I love these things. They fire fast and are so bright and the color is very much OEM.

I had the same issue. The signal side of the relay that plugs into the OEM headlight socket did not fully connect. I had to depin the Diode Dynamics Signal connector and directly stick the pins in and wrapped everything with electrical tape. This was not what I was expecting but I made due with what I had. I took a look at the OEM bulb and the pins stick out further and also look like they are closer together. After I stuck the pins directly into the OEM headlight socket, everything worked fine.

Stock, I've not had to use high beams once with these HIDs in the low.

I'm using the stock High beams. Which certainly are noticable when turned on. Noticably adds to the total light output, of my Hylux Hid and the Morimoto Type T XB Projector Fogs I'm running.
The Hylux hid's and harness, in conjunction sith the Diode Dynamics Heavy duty relay harness was a Totally Plug and play setup. Everything just plugged together and worked first time out, with no issues at all.

    @Scooby24
this is looking really good... i've been watching this and other threads. i think i'll take the plunge for these on my Pro. she needs some help with the lighting fo sho. can you please verify me on the following so i can get the same final setup?

    buy from here:
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/HYLUX-FAST-...m3f56a5b254:m:m3yBhoJZpxIs6oAFrVgkknQ&vxp=mtr

    Your exact selection was this:
    A2088 Fast Start Kit
    2x A2088 35W
    2x H11B (H11N) Ball Type 4300K

    this relay:
    http://www.diodedynamics.com/store/individual-waterproof-hid-relay-harness#!prettyPhoto

maybe some wire wrap from Harbor Freight

is that the complete parts list?

one more question: after the relay is installed this is still activated by the same switch on the stalk like OE?

    thanks very much!
