Has anyone been successful in using the Hypertech sped-calibrator on a 2017 3.5L? Need to order one before I install my lift and tires, Hypertech has not updated their fitment.

The one for tacoma goes inline behind the integument cluster. 17 should be same as 16

Have not had a chance to install but I am attaching the install instructions sent to me by Hypertech - their website does not have 2016 Tacoma instructions and the kit did not come with it.

Awesome, didn't know these were available for tacos. Last time I used one of these hyper tech units was for my S10

When you correct the Speedometer & Odometer with the Hypertech, does it also "correct" the MPG features? Does the Mileage match up with the Onboard Maintenance Tracker in the radio?

My MPG Calculators reads ±.5 against my MPG Tracker App.

Edited: forgot about the Radio, it also has Milage details in it.

Can anyone confirm or deny that the dealership can't just change the tire size in the computer? thats what i had done on all my domestic vehicles.

I had this conversation on FB about this. Myself and others have called the dealers and can confirm that Toyota dealerships nor Toyota NA will/can NOT change the tire size. Nor do they have the capability to change it. The hypertech unit is the only way to change it on the cluster.

The update will correct the ratio of RPMs to translated speed. Once the Speedo reads correctly, everything else will be accurate as they all source from the same raw data.

I had one of these (different brand) on a Dodge previously. Easy to use. The question I have on this unit, does it ask you for the wheel size and the final drive ratio? If so, you can also adjust for replacing the final drive gearing in case you needed to do that for major oversized tires.

I have a '17 as well. Seem to get everything back to snuff? Correct speedo really helped my Wrangler JK, got my mpg back to stock with 33's from 29's.
