I hate when I do shit like that.

I always think to myself it’s going a bit to easy too.. or it’s a pain in the ass and I have to redo it anyway

 

Got the sample yesterday and it looks really good, my favorite out of the 3.

My wife’s not on board with me wrapping it myself and I can really blame her. Maybe if I find $500 laying on the ground, I’ll buy 60 feel of the wrap and still try. Truck would look great in that dark metallic green.

 

The E load BB's are such good looking tires, have only heard good things about them. Just wish they weren't so heavy!

 

yeah, my truck feels like it’s a little sluggish with then but they are only about 5lbs heavier then the old tires.

They do look awesome though. I’ll be testing them off road in a few weeks too.

 

I just wish it wasn’t so expensive to have it done professionally. That green is killer!

Same, it’s the only reason they weren’t my top choice when I got new tires a few months back.

 

Yeah, I can’t spend 4K plus on a wrap. That’s almost the cost of a new paint job… I think. Well I’m not sure how much it costs to paint, I do know a local place starts at 4K to wrap.


There is a lot of extra rubber on those tires to increase the weight. But that add a nice visual element to the tires. Hoping that it’s functional too.

 

Have you found them to be pretty quiet given the tread pattern?

 

Yea, at least new they are pretty quiet. I do have some hearing loss and tinnitus so that helps(?) too.

They were about 5decibles less then the st Maxx.

They also change the speed compared to the st max. At 50 I’m about 3-4mph faster than shown and 60 I’m about 5mph faster than the speedometer shows, compared to Waze/gps. Not that it is accurate either, just gives me an idea.

 

That makes sense! Good to know.

My Maxxis MTs are getting louder and with the added road noise from the seat delete, it has me thinking about going back to an all terrain before our next cross country trip. I haven’t decided yet for sure.

I still have to make the board for our dogs to stand on that I’m going to sound deaden on one side. So I’m going to wait to make any decisions until I see how that affects the road noise.

 

Honestly if the BB's had the same design for SL as they do E load, I would have been so tempted to get them in SL. Not ashamed to admit that

 

Hahah I totally get it! The new C load 255/85/16 AT4W’s interest me a lot because they’re riiiiight in the middle.

 

Hope that you can get rid of some of the noise. Not sure if it would help, or that you would want to take things apart, but could you get a mat under the seat delete to help with the noise in addition the the board you’re going to do?

 

Saw your Maxxis's are getting louder, how many miles do you have on them? You didn't get them THAT long ago... Sucks that you need to get back into the tire discussion again. My wife would kill me

 

I didint even notice they had different designs. That’s pretty interesting

 

Mine too, she HATES when I have to rebuy anything for my truck…

 

Yeah the SL version is way neutered compared to the E. You lose all of the cool sidewall lugs

They were one of the reasons I chose them over Maxxis, Kenda or Falken.

 

The bottom goose gear boards are a little sound proofed but there isn’t really much room to add any more material.

And yeah I mean the noise is 100% liveable, I just want to see if I can lower it some. I do still love these tires. I think I have about 2K miles on them now?
