I’m 32 and I don’t have any friends.

Truth be told I would consider my wife my best friend,

I grew up in Arkansas, had some great friends in school, but only keep in touch with one guy now, but I haven’t lived there since 2009. I followed a career to CO, then to VT where I now live with my wife,
Just recently realized I’m 32, and don’t have any real friends.

Anyone else recently came to this realization?

Welcome to the club... hang around here and you will have more friends than you will know what to do with.

 

As long as you have her and the dog, you’re set. Good friends don’t come around often, except what you have, make sure your sex life is 100%, change shit up, and you’re set for life. Maybe someone will come along, maybe someone won’t.

 

I'm 37 in the same boat and don't really care. I have a friend that lives 100 miles from me. We talk, but that's about it. My best friend I grew up with I see every two years if we're lucky. Otherwise, it's my wife, 7 yr old, and dog. And I'm fine w/ that. I joined the forum to find people with like interest and succeeded in doing so. But it turns out they don't like me either.

 

Where in Vt? My family had a camp in Swanson that I visit regularly along with my brother @Blais03 and our dad @Mr.Miyagi

 

Well you're doin better than me. In same boat but no wife, no dog and no real friends. .lol

Lol, I have 4 vehicles and those are my kids...

 

I'm 35 and I have only one friend. Which lives in another country and I see once a year. My wife is not my friend, she's my wife.

Good that your wife is your best friend, that’s great! Keep it that way!
Do you want other friends too? Or does it really matter?
Be the friend you want to have, but be wise too. There are many just looking for opportunities to take advantage of others.
Friends come and go through life stages, but family is forever.

Same here. When I moved back to Maine, after I got out of the Air Force, I really only knew a few people around here. Then I got divorced. Now I work, take care of my kids, and go to school. Oh, and spend piles of money on my truck...

 

Sometimes, I wonder if electronics etc... cause us to be more anti social. But then I realize that my dad didn't have a lot of friends either beyond the work environment.
