^^ This or place your foot WAY high on the brake pedal to give the heel room to reach the gas

I've seen this on my '16 but not consistently.

This is actually super cool. If I could find something like this for a Tacoma I would buy.

No codes on the 2020. I have it down some now. I have to ride my foot high on the brake. I dont like the placement a lot.

I use it if I am in a slow lane and I need to slow down and get ready to pull into a faster lane. Sometimes it's nice to drive more aggressively on my way home and it feels nice to nail downshifts. I own a manual for enjoyment not getting into 6th gear as quickly as possible.

Gear rations are trash 5th and 6th are so close and when you shift to the next gear your almost always fall out of the power band. Oh and the rev hang but hey it's a truck and when I think of it that way I could care less.

2nd gen guy who stumbled on this thread. A guy sells gas pedal spacers for 2nd Gen's and maybe others. I contacted him two years ago and had no response via pm or in the thread so I pulled my gas pedal out, traced the outline of the base and mounting holes onto paper and took that to a plastic shop. Plastic shop made me the spacer out of some sort of 3/4" block of tough, non flexy plastic. Found longer bolts at home depot. Works awesome and a lot of fun to heel toe and no issues on the second Gen other than rev hang which I have deleted through Hptuners.

    The thread

It is, but people still like to pretend their utility trucks are track cars. For some reason.

My truck IS quick plus I can drive though ditches if traffic sucks. For me it beats a sports car that you have to baby around potholes where I live or put away in the winter.

I dust sports cars regularly and although a truck does not handle like a sports car heel toeing during deceleration IS smoother when the revs are matched. There is no disputing this. I also have the rev hang deleted so rev matching happens quickly. Stock it took like four seconds for the revs to start dropping.

Anyways as long as people have fun and drive how they like who cares? Just putting some info out there for people who are interested.

I've found it easier in boots. Just roll your foot and Stab it one good time.

Or just dump your clutch and slam your passenger into the dash. Whichever
