Well guys I sold my tacoma :( But i did stay with toyota. I purchased a 2010 corolla s. I mainly sold my tacoma because I couldnt afford to drive it back and forth to work and to my girls house. $700 a month in fuel was getting old. But the tacoma is still my favorite vehicle and ill have another one as soon as my financial situation improves.

I wouldn't sell my truck no matter what the gas cost was...mostly because selling your truck because of gas prices is/was a knee jerk reaction. The amount of money lost in your truck, and the amount of money you had to invest into the new vehicle isn't really worth it. Plus the amount of money saved isn't as much as you think.

That 2010 corolla S is a nice car. Doesn't take much money to make it look great and sound good. It'll never really be fast or anything, but it is a very nice car. Smooth ride too. I'd take one in addition to my tacoma for sure.

Hey OP, don't worry about what these folks are saying, they are not walking in your shoes or paying your bills. Sorry you had to let it go, but that's your choice, and you need to do what's right for you. $700 a month for fuel is pretty tough, and I'd bet you're not the only one to trade for something a little more affordable. At 22, you've got a long time to work your way back into a nice pickup.

It's definitely not a bad or dumb move. You made a tough decision. I can't let go of 'Ol Red but I feel your pain on the gas bills (I even get 21 mpg).

So I'm saving up cash to buy a 90s Honda, Acura or Toyota that gets 35+ mpg. Nothing special, just practical.

Did you happen to trade in a paid off car for a new note?

    If so, SMH.

Should've bought a bike! I've considered getting one, partly for gas and partly because I've been wanting one for a few years.
