Went to Calico today and parked in front a rock at Bismarck Mine. I forgot about it after the excitement of exploring the crazy mines and drove over it trying to leave. I heard it and backed off it.

I have an Off Road. Do all the trucks come with these two skid plates? They may have saved my ass way back in the hills today....

I checked and everything is dry. No lines or oil filter canister were hit. It pushed the skid plate up against the bottom of the engine mounts and frame. I bent it back off with pliers

Battle wounds on the LCAs, but perfectly fine. May be time to upgrade in some durable skids though. These stock skids are paperweights.

They all have the IFS "skid" only the off road version comes with the mid skid. get some @Pelfreybilt skids to replace them ;)

    :edit:
Sorry! Didn't realize I was in 3rd gen again. Not sure how they configure them now...

Your first bash! At least your first bash was on your skid plate. My stock skid plate looked like a raisin before I upgraded. You can take it off and hit it with a hammer a few times or just use your tax return to upgrade it.

Won't be the last one, Stock skid plate does the trick! I caved mine in repeatedly, wasn't a big deal to take off and hammer back into shape.

    Nice scar. :)
You should take it in and get it fixed under warranty. Skid plates aren't supposed to dent like that!
