I got addicted, FML

So I'm a Toyota guy, but more towards the Sports car side, always hated pick up trucks unless you had a need for them but I did like the Tacoma if I had to pick one (for brand name if nothing else).

Now that I do more snow driving I'd been considering a pickup for a little over a year. And after I messed up my daily beater a couple weeks ago in snow, I started looking at Tacomas real close for whatever reason.

And then I found a perfect one, less then an hour away from me!

Anyways it was a dark blue 07 SR5 TRD Off Road 6 speed V6, while I hadn't been considering the 2nd gens for price mainly, this one hooked me.


So I test drove it (it had been up for a month). And dragged my feet and mauled it over. Then it disappeared, so I called (right about when I made up my mind to buy it), and of course it just sold. DAmn good price too 16,900 with 89k.

So now I've been hooked, but of course I can't find that combo anywhere. Save for one in AZ that has accident damage that was repaired but I'll make another thread for that.

I went to the auto show today and the access cab felt like a perfect fit, while everything else seemed too excessive, either in price or size, usually both...

So guess I'll continue my search lol.....That was like 3 days ago and I'm still like physically mad about it...damnit.....

I bought unlimited vin checks for a month today to check a truck in Arizona I've been eyeballing. Just for shits and giggles I ran that old truck that I missed out on and turns out it had an accident reported haha. I guess that explains the price. Maybe it still woulda been a good buy or maybe everything happens for a reason. Makes me feel a little better!

 

I have had 3 accidents with my truck but the value hasn't decreased well shouldn't everything was replaced with new parts and no damage left over
