I got bored yesterday...

    2011 alloys painted black
    i did the same thing and its been about 8k miles now and still look the same

    i put alot of prep time into it as well clean them up really good then the scotch brite pad to skuff it up
    after that i used a rust oleum sandable primer (3 coats) then went to a body shop place and got spruce flat black and put 3 coats on then wet sanded the last one and then layed down one last coat
    super smooth to the touch very clean looking

    I'm gonna get my wheels powder coated can you powder coat the center caps too?

    The only problem with plasti coat is it simply peels off to remove. Take it through a carwash, or scrub it with a brush, and it may come off . But the rims look great let us know how it holds up. i almost did mine the other day, but was worried about re doing them constantly.

    Same here, been trying to find time to get powder coated. Have to be without my truck for 2-3 days or buy spare rims. Might buy a set of xd's instead.
