2nd gen springs aren't going to work . 1st gens have eliptical springs, 2nd gens are centerpin to shackle/hanger evenly.

Bushings aren't going to determine how stiff your springs are, get a couple pics up.

Tighten your hanger/shackle bolts to specs & move on , this isn;t your problem either

Ahhh ok got ya, as far as getting them to settle (seeing how they're used you'd figure they already have) we used to take 3 or 4 90lb sacks of cement , 3 wide across & center of axle & 1 laid across the top & go romp for a day or 2

I wouldn't doubt if they weren't broken in. He only had them on maybe 2-3 months and just was a pavement princess.

I posted measurements of my height, anyone have any input? Either one seem low or high?

Springs seem to be a little better, still stinkin' high though. Could someone maybe get measurements from the hub centre to the fender on their stock vehicle, lifted w/ Alcans and 5100's or any 2.5-3" lift? I wanna see how much my front end will change if I put in new coils or go to Eibachs.

    Thanks!

From center of the hub to middle of the fender I'm at 23". from the concrete to the center of the bottom of the fender I'm about 38 3/4". I'm running 265 duratracs with 5000 miles on them. Hope that helps!

Sorry the last post was the rear, the front from hub center sits at 22 1/2'' with 5100 set on top setting with stock springs for now. Ride got stiffer after compressing the spring with the 5100s, but not by too much

Hey Brrap is that on a second gen though?

I took out the third and the sixth leaves from the top, the one just below the clamps. Rides way better and sits about an inch higher in back.

Can you even positively verify which springs he sold you?

Do you have any part numbers or an invoice?

Are you sure they actually 1st gen springs, and if so, there are two different versions, and are yours the second kind for your truck (a 99 needs 98-04 springs).

Even then their site says ony 1.75 to 2 inches of lift, not 3.

And post up some pics and count the number of leafs.

I think it gave more than 3", anyways it's all good now. I don't have the part numbers, I'll double check but I'm thinking the guy didn't know what he was talking about.

They are for my year, they fit. The earlier springs are shorter, that's also the reason the guy sold them to me because he had an 01 double cab, sold it, kept the springs and then found out they wouldn't fit the 97 ex can he bought.

Hello everyone, I have a 2006 DCLB with a Fabtech 6" stage 1 about 5 yrs old. Stage 1. I want to do a shackle flip kit,,xj shackles and a set of icon rears.ANY SUGGESTIONS? Saw a truck with Alcan 6" with ATO flip kit which I cannot even find anymore. Wanna fit 37 Mickeys w/ aftermarket 17 or 18" rims. I love the icon product, but I am a complete novice. I just installed a URD MK3 SC stage 2 and an Iron bull plate bumper with m8000 winch.
My stock springs are flat and shocks are all OEM with exception of stage1 dirt logic. They all gotta go!
I don't know which shocks are most compatible w/ my Fabtech lift.
Mainly a road runner, but use it off road occasionally. If anyone could give me some guidance, it would be greatly appreciated. I want the front lifted more maybe 3-4 inches and rear level with front. The rear sagged after lift was installed. Wanna lose the blocks. I saw a truck on TW, I believe he has a site www.rocksolidtoys.com and should maybe contact him as well. Does ATO even make a flip kit anymore? His truck was wild and it's what I want.
If anyone could suggest where to begin that would rock.
If anyone could make any suggestions,I would very much be grateful for someone to take a bit of time to get me started.
    Thanks in advance.

OP, I just measured and my hub to fender measurements are around 23" up front and 25" in the rear. I also have 300lbs worth of sandbags in the bed currently for winter so the rear of my truck is lower than usual. I have the toytec coilovers upfront (5100s + eibach springs) and ome dakar springs in the back with 1" lift shackles which is supposed to lift 3.25" (1" shackles + 2.25" springs). I also have tube bumpers front and rear as well as rock sliders to weight everything down a bit more.
