Sliders wont solve all your problems....I just got a 2010 just a few months ago and and some asshole bashed the living F out of my truck right above the left wheel well.... a lower car door will make contact riiiiiiight there on the edge so its not spread out..... needless to say it went waaaaayyyyyyy past the clear coat..... i dont think it even had 1,500 miles on it yet I was so pisssssed off, I might post a pic later

Always park away from other cars on the uphill side of the parking lot (usually the side closest to the building). Stores usually make their parking lot a very slight incline when walking towards the front door, so that the guy pushing carts in can control them and they don't runaway from him. Parking uphill reduces the chance of a runaway cart smoking your truck.

I have always parked far away. My '03 taco made it 7 years without a single door ding, and I'm going to try the same with my 10!

My wife used to complain about it, but I think she has finally given up. :)

If i'm squeezed between two vehicles I always park closer to the nicer vehicle. Also, vans can be good to park next to because they have sliding doors.

It depends on how wide of a slider you get.

I just put on some narrow sliders they stick out a little wider than the doors but some car doors could still hit me.

I like my Demello sliders. They look clean and personally I think they look far better than tube steps or those running boards that look like they belong on a van conversion. The Demellos hug fairly close to the body, but stick out just enough.

They'll protect well against most car doors, but SUVs and other trucks will swing over them. Lifted + sliders is the best protection.

Yeah I wish i had some sort of protection, some asshole got my driver side door today (we were at an amusement park, so parking away from people wasn't an option). Thankfully it wasnt a 'ding' but it marred the paint (small white mark that I was *mostly* able to remove with 1 application of ScratchX). Fucking shithead asswipes! Ruined my fucking day
