They are both alloy wheels, therefor use the same sensors. They will work just fine.

I haven't looked into what kind of pressure sensors the new gen Tacomas have. I'm used to working with tire pressure sensor that is incorporated into the valve stem. This is easily transferible. If your going to take your tires to a shop I would tell them you have a TPS so they accidently don't bust it when they break the tire down off the rim. If you do it yourself and have problems once it's reinstalled, there is a way to calibrate them but I think Toyota has to do it.

As long as you're going from alloy to alloy or steel to steel. Toyota TPM sensors have two different angles, depending on whether they are for alloy wheels or steel wheels.

Kinda related but could be a thread jack.

I listen to satellite radio and on NPR they play reruns of CarTalk. (it has been mentioned here before) This morning a woman called up and said her TPS light comes on on her Nissan Versa everyday at the same place in her travel everyday.

She lives in Virginia and travels an hour from home in her commute. 45 minutes into her commute the light comes on and then shortly after it goes out. On the way home, the light comes on 15 minutes into her commute and then shortly after it goes out.

A question was asked in jest if she passes any "areas". She replied that she passes the National Security Agency building 45 minutes into her commute and passes it on the way home....yes, 15 minutes on the way back.

Click and Clack said it was POSSIBLY some kind of RFI (radio frequency interference) quite possibly from the NSA building. The building or some part of the building could be sending out some frequency in it's "quest" to secure the country.

She will be experimenting with another type of car with TPS to see if this confirms and possibly just a frequency that Nissan uses.

Ok, with that said. I hope I don't disappear after devuldging this info but it was on the radio.

    Nice knowing y'all.

I'll be hiding in Chris' boat....I promise not to damage the seat covers. I understand his wife will feed strays so it can't be all that bad.
