I have a question regarding cooper ATP's on the tacoma I just bought.

Bought a 2012 Taco 4x4 DC with 64k on it. The cooper discovery ATP's look to be at about half life left maybe less but they appear to be cupping real bad and the ride is absolute crap. You can look over at the empty passenger seat and it is just shaking at speed. Dealer did another balance before I took delivery and replaced a TPMS sensor at discount tire. My question is would discount give me anything on them if I got new ones now, and should I go with more Hankook dynapro like I had on my old 93 that were actually pretty good, albeit I didn't have a lot of miles on them? I have driven that 93 for 25 yrs and am out of the loop on what works on these new tacoma's.

    Thanks

Only thing I can add is our passenger seats always shake, my tire guy is amazing at balancing tires. But my passenger seat used to always shake until I wedged a Baseball between the console and the seat. No more shaking, as far as DTD giving you anything for the tires I have zero knowledge on that.

That's a good trick. I never really noticed the passenger seat thing until lately, it's pretty annoying. Gonna try that.

Drop the pressure on your Disco ATPs. They ride harsh anything >=30psi

FWIW I love the Cooper ATPs.

    LOL

Yea, I just put a second set of michelins on wife's pathfinder and those things are amazing. She wouldn't let me put anything other than michelins on there, its like riding on air after getting out of my tacoma.

5100's all around with OME 884 at 0. Weathertechs, Carhartt seat covers. BFG KO2's 265/70/17. T4R SEMA wheels. 18% tint on front windows. General Springs HD 4 leaf pack, Leer 100 XR shell.
I just got rid of my ATP's for AT3's. they had 40k on them and it was time. But they cupped really bad, were loud, and gave me a shit ride. I stopped rotating them about 15k miles ago and just rode out the life so some of it is on me but I wouldnt buy them again.
