I have 265/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers and SpiderTrax wheel spacers on my stock TRD Sport wheels (no lift) and have some occasional rubbing. Everything I read said that 265/70/17 should have no rubbing issues at all. Is it the spacers causing the rubbing? I have no idea what's involved if I have to trim. Any help is appreciated!

    A few bolts are different.
loose the front mud flaps, that should take care of your issues. if not longbow has good pics of trimming in his gallery

Why did you need spacers with stock rims?

Yeah the rubbing is just on the front flaps. Is there a downside to removing the front flaps entirely as opposed to trimming them?

I didn't need spacers. I just got them b/c I like the wider, more aggressive stance. I don't ever plan on getting aftermarket wheels, so spacers are the only way for me to help with that.

the only down side I can figure is the lack of that little bit of dirt protection
