I could coat some ff on the section I primered with hi quality 3x chemically resistant coating and see if it washes right off with normal wet rain running?
There is a test out there on TW that resulted in ff failing to protect some steel wool under heavy water splashing simulation
That is all I know about it though

I had some pics of the flash rust on my naked frame that washed off when I hosed it down at the touchless wash
And I don't know what I did wrong!

I have had really good results with Amsoil HDMP. It has kept everything rust free and I just reapply in the fall. Spray everything underneath. No need to tape anything off or anything. Dries like a wax sort of and isn't sticky or messy if you need to work on something unlike FF.

The whole truck should be dipped in galvanize. Hold it in the dip by it's Archilles trailer hitch.

    Done forever.

FF is good stuff - just my opinion here - been using it for 4 years since bring 04 Taco from South Carolina to MA. I have applied it each fall with good results -meaning a surprising small amount of rust for considering the MA winters. I will continue.... I first painted outside of frame - focusing on welds - with Rust bullet and inside with green internal frame coating from Eastwood....

2 cans a year. I don't go ape shit with it. I also don't wash it off with a pressure washer after application. I just leave it. In the Spring-summer time I wash it off and it did it's job. Not rocket appliances ;)

The day after the road sweepers come through and suck up the salt, that's my old neighbor's rule of thumb for the spring. He had a high mileage econobox though.

Wool wax - the FF alternative that doesn't smell like a dead sunk's anus.

I've said in another thread that we used a lanolin product on pipe that had to be ground *wire wheeled* to clean metal after hardening. I believe it was LPS #3. Maybe #2. whatever isn't electrical. It was so good they stopped using it because they were hurting the metal taking it off.

Wow. This LPS #3 might be the best stuff made. It's not inexpensive, but it sure seems heavy heavy industrial commercial type of duty

    Fluid Film works great.
I pay about $33 a gallon. I plan on applying a coat or two every year
