I mainly don't boost when I travel long distances..... i'm in no hurry to get to where i'm going.... plus for the amount of time you save hauling ass it's not even worth it...... once you do the calculations you realize it's literally minutes that you save.... not worth the money you are risking.....

i was thinking about this the other day..... you can put realistic looking testicals on your truck for everyone to see. what if you put a realistic looking cock and balls dildo on there?? would you get a ticket?

drop in k&n for now. Deckplated. Got rid of the intestinal airpipe and baffleys. Replaced with shiny big pipe of more straightness.
I dont seem to mind or notice this lack of power..Given Im not towing or hauling.
But no problems with getting out of my way.Passing etc.
    5spd manual.
Ive driven a bunch of different vehicles thru the years. No complaints with this one.
Kept up with a bunch of v8 suvs and some subarus just fine so far on the highway.

No its not a 500hp 1997 Nissan Skyline GTR.
But its quicker then alot of cars too.

Dif'rent strokes for dif'rent folks! My lil 2.7 has plenty of low-end oomph for getting shit done. Acceleration is not a problem. It handles like a champ (I grew up on rear-wheel drives in the snow, so driving it is second nature to me). I love my cheaper insurance. The 5-speed manual is a built in excuse to NOT have to talk on the phone while driving (hehe!) and it gets me lovely mileage....even going 80 on the turnpike 100 miles a day! She don't mind gettin' dirty, she's easy to maneuver, and fun as hell to take off-road. Plus, she's just a durned purty lil girl. My Vera's a peach. Now, that said....if I regularly hauled/towed close to the max payload, I'd get a V6. But I don't. So why would I?

My 2010 4x4 access cab 2.7L 5 Speed with avid offroad light bar/ deer knocker offer, ARE cap towing my big tex 5x12 with 2 quads at 75-85 mph up the PA turnpike gets 18mpg. My ’04 F250 did the same with or with out the Big Tex and got 9-10 mpg with less options.

Running with out the trailer She gets up just fine. I never had a problem passing or pulling out on the hwy and the truck probably out live me.

18 mpg towing with a 4cyl 4wd truck with 2 quads ... sorry but that sounds exhorberently high .... the best ive ever gotten towing with my old 4cyl truck was 16 and that was a 5x8 uhaul trailer ... i cant imagine aerodynamics being good on a 5x8 with 2 quads especially at 75 to 85 mph

In the summer I get 18-20 pulling a 5X10 mowing trailer daily in the city. I suppose aerodynamics aren't really an issue but I am amazed with the stop and go that I still get that MPG
