Supposedly the "sport tuned suspension" and the Bilstein shocks in the TRD package give it a slightly rougher or stiffer ride on road. I have driven both and I believe this. Only slightly, but it was most noticeable in a rough, long sweeping corner at highway speed.
Reminded me of my 2000TRD x cab 5speed manual and the wicked axle wrap that thing would get. This was not nearly as bad, I'm just trying to make a point

I work for a dealer in Maryland. The $500 you talked about... is that the customer cash back?

No, that was just the extra that one dealer gave me. Because I was looking at 3 different dealers, I simply figured all money into the trade. So, how much were they willing to deduct from sticker for ANY Tacoma I wanted. Sort of helped to equalize things. I was trading a 2008 FJ Cruiser, offroad package, rack, backup sensors. Ended up at $23,500 off by the end. Started out at $19,000 and worked up fom there. Maybe not the best I could have done, but I assume it's close since one dealer bowed out and said he couldn't go any more..

Gotta read how to post pics. New to this forum.
Thanks to you all for input.

Anyone got a link to a thread about where I can get some bars to span the bed? I want to be able to carry my Thule roof box just over the bed.

    Too many to list.
If you are buying a new one, have the dealership find the one you want, they trade each other all the time to satisfy their customers wants!

HAH! Yeah, I sort of have a problem with ADD, boredom, etc. I have tried fishing, but unless the fish are biting and I have a good competition with someone, I lose interest in about 5 minutes.
    Can't Sit Still....
My grandfather always asked about the ants in my pants... He was my idol, hero, mentor.... taught me how to fix just about anything.
