haha i know how this is, my dad owns the truck but once i get outta college he'll sign the title over and in his words "do what you want with it, sell it keep it i dont care just dont ask for me to pay for anything" haha

but i have done a few things rims tires but if i got a lift he wouldnt go for it.

but on the other had i bought an 89 4runner he doesnt care what happens to it well cuz i bought it. once again in his words "well i dont care what you do with it sell it keep it wreck it just dont make it my problem" haha

ok so now i am telling him about 5100s but he cant seem to understand how it will give me a lift. he thinks that it will affect the ride of my taco only and not the height. i have shown him pictures and write ups on the forum. he talked to his friend who works for a toyota factory and his friend told him that the 5100s wont give you a lift at all which is bs but i found out he was talking about the TOYOTA 5100s. so if someone can link some stuff about the 5100s lift that would be great!

i have the 5100's set at 0 with ome springs, a set up like that would help him understand. also my dad didnt want me going over 2" so i told him i wouldnt. just dont take measurements before and show him, i got 3 inches :). tell your dad to ask his toyota friend about bilstein 5100's and not the trd bilsteins that come stock on the trd package

bingo... suck it up and wait til you get out on your own. at that point, do whatever you want/can afford.

its not too late to change this instant gratification society... even though i'm guilty of it!

I am the same way, stuck in high school (177 days left) My bro just lifted his F150, told my parents it was a leveling kit + bigger tires lol. It worked. I am gonna get the 5100s soon and tell my parents it looks higher cause i leveled it and added 1" bigger tire
