    Greetings!
I own a 2006 Tundra - love it! Thinking of trading for a Tacoma - 4WD this time. I'd like to know about fuel economy on the Tacoma and thinking of an 08 to 10 model year. Any help?

If you drive conservatively you can average 21 mpg. I've been getting around 20, but I drive in the city quite a bit. All depends on how you drive!

    Welcome!
Are you thinking auto or manual trans?
    Access Cab or DC cab?
    4cyl or 6 cyl?
My 2006 Tacoma 4x4 DC V6 auto no nannies avg 17-18 mpg tracked via scangauge over 4 yrs. That is in Vt. using Blended fuel. I did see a couple of 20 tanks but current truck gets around the same gas mileage.
I had a 04 & 06 Tundra prior to the tacoma & didn't see dramatic increases in gas mileage going to the Tacoma. Heavy foot in either model or configuration V6 vs V8 is going to yield the same in my exp.

Welcome. I'm averaging 19.5 right now on my DC V6 4x4. I have gotten over 20 a few times when I did more hwy driving but usually do more city and keeps it down.

Well, good to see a good response! Thanks so much. I think I'm going to locate a 2007 or 08 and make the deal. I work at and sell new Ford cars and trucks - they'd like to see me drive a Ford but quite frankly I can't afford one. Love the new EcoBoost engine but the Tacoma seems the right size for me. I'm going for it!

    Thanks again!
