So I was airing up the tires on my old truck with my new MF-1050 AC. When a tire on a tractor blows up next to me, I was dazed and confused. I thought the tire I was airing had blown but how at 10 psi. I then see the smoke coming from the other tire. Ok, I am in one piece just can't hear shit now.

The tire looks as if a grenade blow up inside it. I just don't think anyone really thinks about how we all drive with 5 bombs on our trucks. Damn I still can't hear shit.

On a side note I really like my new compressor, but shit it burned me when I tried to take the hose off.

So I think chris4x4 was doing a experiment at my house!:D

tires are no joke, when i was in the Marines tire and wheel safety was a huge issue on our helicopters. when airing up tires no one was allowed within 50 ft of them except the person operating the fill unit and he had to be as far away as the hose allowed and inline with the tire. they showed us some pictures of what happens to people who get in the way of an exploding tire...it looked like they were turned inside out. even though the aircraft tires were around 160psi i still wouldnt want to be anywhere near a tire that was 30psi.

that's crazy.. I've never really thought about the pressure inside a tire potentially killing someone...... hmm...

Yeah, you have the tires, but just think about the front suspension... So much stored energy in those springs. The mechanic that assembled my coilovers told me it was a bullet just waiting to go off...

Anyone ever heard of someone's coils shooting through the top of the fender/hood??
