That was fab'd aftermarket. I have never seen nor heard of one. I am sure at least one person on this forum would own one out of all these people

Here's another one. It was in Grants Pass Oregon and I stopped and took pics. Frame looked totally factory when I peeked under it; no signs of a chassis stretch.

Far as I'm aware of, neither of those trucks came from the factory in their displayed form

I think it looks good...just need bigger tires and a little more elevation to balance it out. Someone in Tacoma should go check it out and take pics so we can get to the bottom of this.

Looks great, don't see why everyone is criticizing it. No different from a gen 2 DCLB , Definitly unique for sure!!

    Very strange indeed.

Maybe both of these trucks pictured in this thread were specially ordered this way from Toyota? I know that obviously Toyota did not offer the first gen double cab in a long bed but perhaps perhaps, maybe the owner paid extra for it? Who knows, it would definitely be interesting to find out the history on them though.

I like it. I would be interested in seeing the frame mods that were done.

This was actually an option from some dealers in the northwest, i forget the name of it. there's another thread around here somewhere that goes into more detail, but if it's in the northwest region of the country, chances are it's factory and i DO WANT one.

Well it's gone now... seems like someone did

Maybe they were concept trucks for car shows... Like that one that's on here that's a convertible. That thing is sweet.
