Assuming automatic... Yes- depending on year. I think around 98 and later will have the trans temp code.

Here are my notes that work for my 2001 - for my SGII:

    Short term fuel trim:
    TXD: 686AF10106
    RFX: 044105060000
    RXD: 2808
    MTH: 00C80100FF9C
    NAM: ST%

    Long term fuel trim:
    TXD: 686AF10107
    RFX: 044105070000
    RXD: 2808
    MTH: 00C80100FF9C
    NAM: LT%

    Trans temp:
    TXD: 686AF101B4
    RXF: 044105B40000
    RXD: 2808
    MTH: 00090005FFD8
    NAM: TFT

Obviously, if you don't already, get yourself an aux transmission cooler.

He was referring to an auxiliary transmission cooler, or in other words a standalone radiator just for cooling the transmission fluid.

If your truck is an automatic transmission then it has an integrated transmission cooler inside of the main radiator that cools the engine. That stock cooler is inadequate for heavy towing applications

Scan Gauge II codes. I would have figured they would work for an Ultra Gauge, considering both are working with the ODBII protocol, but maybe I don't understand the underpinnings.
