as for being stuck, it was a massive rut that we had to strattle and he slid in it at the top and it was really actin like it wanted to roll on the passenger side and ther was a slight ledge infront of the passenger front that it did not want to pull over (open diffs) and all it wanted to do was spin and as soon as the wheels broke loose it just dug deeper and got closser to the dirt on the passenger side, he was most deffinatly stuck and backing out was out of the question cause the worst of the rut was behind him and it woulda ripped to whole side off of that thing for sure

Duh, its cuz he doesn't have A-TRAC! If you need more info about it ask David K, he's the local A-TRAC spokesman. I think he may even get a boner when he gets to explain its awesomeness.
    Just sayin.

Foglights are for fog, not oncoming traffic!
I loved my old GC...looked like a soccer mom with good tires.
    Went everywhere.
Best story was way up in back country...single lane road....had to slog through some pretty deep shit to get there.
I drove up and there was a lifted Tacoma and lifted Frontier, parked in the road....guys and slutty girlfriends drinking and smoking in the bed of the trucks.
The guys were total rednecks and couldn't believe I was there....I needed to get through and they were blocking the road, partying.
I kinda had to persuade them to move their trucks and they had a hard time doing it...I just motored by like it was no big deal.
They were pissed...like who was I to drive my modest little car up where only the badasses roam.
    Still laffin'....

And....The tacoma weighs 1000 lbs MORE than your standard Cherokee. 225 tq @ 3000 rpms in a vehicle that weighs 3100 lbs and has good gearing is a nice combination. The problem is the 190 hp that sucks lol. The before mentioned combo will= torquey feeling.

Why not a poor mans locker? Brake+gas to get all wheels to spin. I had to do that in the Tacoma a couple times to get out of a bad spot. Sounds like novice drivers to me:)

I wonder why anyone would want to own a Jeep if they were so crappy? Oh yea, I remember now!

Rubi's are cool....but the older ones had the Dana 44 with the same front hubs (5x4.5). Pathetic....

Atleast now, they have the 5x5.5 now (I think).

You could still build a better rig for cheaper than buying a Rubi!!
