ARB is certainly a good option. You should get what you think will work best for you, and what you think looks best on your truck.

That said, there are many options out there, such as from C4, CBI, and others that are made in the USA. I went with one from CBI for my Tacoma that offered me the protection that I was looking for, as well as the looks. If you scout around, there may even be a fabricator in your local area who can make an awesome bumper.

other companies = wait 3 months, then powdercoat

Good point. Just depends on what the owner wants and how fast he wants it.

For ARB, you can have a bumper in any color you want. So long as it's black.

When I was first thinking of getting an ARB Deluxe Bar for my 2014 access cab I was pretty intent on painting it myself to color-match my silver-sky-metallic factry paint. But I was too in a hurry to get it on the truck, and now that it's on the truck I'm not in the mood to go through the rigmarole of taking it off & prepping it for a full paint job.

I've gotten accustomed to black & I think I like the contrasting black-on-silver better than I would like a blended all-silver look. Black does help the bumper stand out to other drivers as well. (I got this bumper for 2 main reasons: dumb drivers, and dumb deer.)

Sliders and rear bumper probably come in black so at that point it matches

Grew up riding around in my dad's Arb equipped fj80, always wanted one. First Toyota was a x-runner, after the x-runner I'm now in a TRD offroad and I'm saving my pennies for the arb bumper. :muscleflexing:
