Not sure how much they weigh on 2nd gens but mine is actually very light, like 85 lbs would be my guess. The winch fits great, it attaches well with aftermarket skids, I love mine, a classic look!

I weighed mine when I installed it on my '13. The net added weight to the truck is 131lbs without a winch.

Who has long term experience with the ARB bumpers in a place that has bad winters and heavily salts the road? Every off road bumper I ever see is a rusty mess in no time. Would one of these be any different?

My bumper went on, in early 2015. That's now 3 winters in a southern Ontario road environment with plenty of salt spray and slurry coating the bumper. The first two winters weren't too bad, but this current third was pretty rough in terms of sustained road salt use due to the regular snows of this winter.

I have very light surface oxidation/mild signs of corrosion forming on the underside edges of the bumper assembly. Nothing has broken through the powdercoat proper. After the first two winters, the bumper still looked next to new.. i am expecting that after a spring-cleanup, it'll now look 'used'.

The Labrak light inserts that went into the bumper at around a year later, are much more worse for wear. I might need to pull them and do some corrosion remediation, before it sets hold on the bumper itself.

I went with no fog lights to save about $200. I need fog lights maybe 5 times a year so I went without.

Mines been on for years, in ca so very little snow. Finish is dull and definitely doesn't look as pretty but there's no rust except in the few tiny spots where I've nicked it on rocks and left bare metal exposed.
After a long decision I think I'm going to try to sell it for a smaller bumper to get better angles and fit huge tires

Would any of you be willing to give me a full on side shot? I want to see how far out it sticks off the nose.

Best I’ve got at the moment. It’s about 9” off the stock bumper.

Ouch. Yes, it certainly would prevent that.

I just bought a Pelfreybilt front bumper, but was considering the ARB. They look like solid bumpers. Just preferred the weight of the aluminum option.

I keep flip-flopping on ARB or another steel plate bumper due to seeing differing pictures of it on 2nd gen tacomas. Sometimes it looks like it fits and it looks good, then other times it sticks out so damn far I would be pissed if I spent $1,000 and it looked like that.

I prefer it to others for how solid it is but I also don't want to end up with that "fat lip" look.

Is it due to install methods or suppliers or something? I can't figure it out.
