Is there an "easy" way to do it? A way that does not involve cutting and splicing wires. I would really prefer some "code", like the one for disabling the beep/chirp.

? That's funny? Mine flashes and honks? I don't know bought it used. I'd rather just have it flash and no honk but......
    Op is an 2011.
    Thanks,

    Brett

Does your beep, because all the second gens beep. I was wanting to make mine actually honk the horn when it locks. No luck so far on my end.

You could always leave the door open, lock it, then reach inside and hit the horn, then shut the door...:notsure:

Not all 2nd Gens beep, mine never has and I did not disable anything. I purchased it new, from a dealer and it never beeped when locked/unlocked and I don't have the seatbelt chimes either. The battery has been disconnected plenty of times, no chimes or beeps :)

My mistake, I was under the impression that all 2nd gens beeped. I know a guy who has a 05 and his beeped. I guess now that he did something to it. This is why I believed them all to beep.

thats how my ’07 is, no seat belt chimes(thank god i hate those things, I always have mine on when on the road, but when i go hunting i sometimes i have to take it off and drive a few hundred or thousand yards on a dirt road at maybe 10mph i don’t need it on.) or beep/honk when locked or unlocked.
