I want to buy a Tacoma!

Hello, guys i am new to this forum.

I want to buy a Tacoma and i have a few questions.

First of all i am going to say that i am planning on taking this truck about 2 times a month, for about 4 weeks each time, to the southern Tip of Baja. I need to be able to drive on the beach, drive on the baja dirt roads and maybe climb some hills and Sand Dunes.

I've been looking at different options like Tundra 1st Gen's and Tacomas 2nd Gen.

I really like the Tacomas alot. It is my dream truck but i want to know if this vehicle will suit me.

I've been doing some research and i've seen there are a few trim options for 2005.

TRD sport
TRD Off road
etc...

I deffenetly want it to have 4x4 so what is the main difference between the two TRD models.

Also what about the differentials?
Do all wheels get power at the same time? or only 1 in front and 1 in the rear.

Whats is the price range for a excellent condition 2005?

As far as price for an excellent '05, hop on Autotrader and take a look at what's around your area. Kelly Blue Book and Edmunds are also good resources when trying to settle on a price.
