I was pre runing down some forest roads last weekend and got underneath to do some cleaning and found red oil on my passenger side bottom of the coilover. The spring was also covered in it. I wiped it up and it was red oil. I went to the drivers side same thing!!! Not a happy camper. Its bad enough they expect you to take a 800 coilover in once a year for reservicing but 6 months and its toast? Not rock crawling, no Jumping just 25 mile an hour down some rough forest roads. Contacting them on Monday will give you guys the scoop. I was going to go Fox or King and thought I'd save a few buck by going with Icon. Regrets they suck ass. Kinda like Icon. Ok mall crawlers time to chime in about how awesome Icon is since you never take your rigs off pavement. :crapstorm:

I have had a few leak. They always took care of them on warranty. And then they last years, so maybe it is something with their production line.

I have also had fox leak, and my friend has had kings leak early in their life, so it is not just an icon issue. But it does seem more likely to happen to them, especially within the first year.

Edit- I should also mention that fox's warranty dept sucks to get ahold of. And they will require you to send it in for inspection just like icon will. Icon has dropped some of my emails, but I get to talk to someone every time I have called them, and they all seem like good dudes.

I got the fox 2.0 with RR on the rear for 2 inch lift end of January. I never had a chance to go offroad. Starting hearing a clunk. Finally removed them Friday. Defective braided line. Very disappointing to say the least. Fox service sucks. They said send them in for inspection. Will let you know in two weeks. I guess you are supposed to drive around with no shock(s) for a couple of weeks. I will never buy Fox anything again.

I put on the Boss 2.0 w/RR. They ride so much better than the Fox (before they gave up).

Pretty sure you can find instances of this for all the brands. Had a buddy with Kings on his rig and started leaking out of the reservoir after 3 months. Guess that's when customer service matters... but I'll be honest, that's why I didn't buy Kings.

Yup. And if you want them inspected for warranty, they all need to be shipped out for 2 weeks.

Find a local shop to rebuild and enjoy.

This thread is BS. I wonder if OP will go buy some fox or kings and bitch about "servicing" those every year? The all have pretty much the same policy for maintenance which is clearly provided prior to purchase. OP should just buy bilsteins. no servicing and lifetime warranty.

OP seems like a complainer just to complain. He must also think 100% of products must be trouble free, forever and ever.

Nice of you to ignore the rest of the posts, especially mine about Icon's number working correctly.

Kinda like when he thinks he has a problem, first thing to do is get on the internet and complain before contacting the manufacturer. hell, it's probably not even oil from the shocks or he screwed something up during install. The chances of getting a pair of bad shocks is pretty slim?

What is it about Tacoma World that people can be so disrespectful? Seriously, if you don't like the topic, the poster, their grammar, stupid question or whatever. Move on.
