My Icon front suspension is clucking when going off little drops or up the driveway. Any idea what this noise could be? Thanks in advance for any help.

Did it just start doing it? How long have you been running them?

Looking at how much preload (too much) you have I'm gonna say you're getting coil bind

The noise has been around since the lift. I have been running them for about 2 months.

I can’t see the pic, signal is bad here, but that would do it. Mine don’t clunk at all.
    another what?

That’d do it. Might want to look into a 14” spring OP. assuming you’re running the 13” 650lb spring.

Or crank it down a bit.

another person just cranking on the preload for a lift. not what these shocks are meant to run.

it could be coil bind or it topping out (not enough rebound damping) also from too much preload. call icon and get their recommendation on what spring to run. they SHOULD help you.

Also, are these "CDCV" clickers only compression adjusters?

I will measure droop tomorrow and let you know. I have the 650 spring rate. The reservoirs have no CDCV clickers.

Common issues and things to check:

Check the torque on all bolts in the area shock mounting top and bottom, LCA, UCA, spindle adapters top and bottom, EVERYTHING.

Cant tell if you have the sway bar attached, make sure it isn't contacting anything if it still is.

Check the tie rod clearance to the shock, if the lower rod eye spacers are installed backwards you can have clearance issues.

If the issue happens when the the suspension droops out, jack up the truck and check for interference issues.

It could be the combination of too much pre-load as well as having the sway bar still attached.

Preload pushes too much on the shock since there's not enough damping and the sway bar does the same (pulls down un-compressed side making it top again. Does it do it on a square hit (both wheels hitting at the same time)?

Could be something loose on the sway bar as well.

Did you measure with one side off the ground or both?
