Icon Dynamics Stage # Lift Thread

Did the Amazon ICON coilovers come with the sway bar relocate? I noticed some vendors include it in the description, but the Amazon description doesn't mention it.

 

So I just got my stage 2 icons should I leave it at the pre set level? Also does it come preset for the taco lean? Any help is much appreciated thanks!

 

Yes, the swaybar relocator came shipped in the same box as the coilovers.

 

Measure the thread space showing at the top of the coilover, that's going to indicate how much room you have to play with; 2.13" being the max amount of thread you can safely expose. Keep in mind, you may need to give the driver side an extra turn or two to compensate for the lean if it bothers you. I have both coilovers showing 1 7/8" of thread. You'll notice a little settling after a week or two. Just lift the tire off the ground, loosen the thread pin with the allen wrench and adjust as needed. You'll figure out what height pairs with your rear lift and looks good to you. Best to get an alignment after tweaking if you make any substantial adjustments. Good luck!

 

So I've tried to read through the thread but there is a lot here now. My quick question is, what is the relation of how much thread you have exposed to the lift you are actually getting? Is 1.5" of thread exposed supposed to be 1.5" of lift?

 

I'm interested in ordering an Icon kit, but I have a steel bumper and winch going on. Does Icon offer stiffer springs and/or alternate valving for increased load applications?

 

Dropped my Fox Shocks and moved up to the Icon system with the CDVC. Very happy I did, I really enjoy this new setup. Thank you to @1MK for the pro Install and photos and to @tubbsisland for the Awesome price and swag!

How does the ride feel different? How does the feeling change using CDVC?

 

Noticeable difference all around just on the street, feels like I have some real shocks under me. I haven't been the dirt yet to fully test it out. The CDVC is great for when i gear the truck up for over-landing or when the bed is just empty for around town.

I have the Stage III, although, in the sheet above it doesnt list the rear reservoir. I got rear rez's with mine.

One thing to note, I had to get my alignment done 2x, about a week apart.

Just ordered my Stage 4 kit with tubular UCAs. I was wondering if i should order some extended brake lines (front rear or both?), diff drop kit and anything else you guys would recommend. This is the first lift i have will install so really depending on forums and YouTube to help me out. thanks

 

I have a stage 3 kit and didn't order anything extra other than the spanner wrench to adjust the coilovers, grease for the UCA bushings, and Tri-Flow lubricant for the uniballs. You shouldn't need the brake lines or diff drop for the install.

 

You got 2.5 inches of lift from 1.75 inches of thread showing? And this is without doing any of that 3rd gen 1 inch lift from factory math.

It's looking like the lift amount you get varies and it is not a 1:1 relation o lift to thread showing

 

How high of a lift did you get with your stage 3

 

Stage 4 delivered yesterday and getting installed next Tuesday!

 

Icon stage 3 with Total Chaos upper control arms. 17x8" FN FX Pro's with 275/70 BFG KO2's. PS coil is stock height, DS coil cranked 6 rounds to even out the lean.

 

Just finished my lift yesterday ! Stage 5 but used Dakar leaf springs instead of add-ons. Just need to lift the fronts to match the rears and wait for my Rims and I'll be set ! Loving it already !

 

Nice! That's exactly what I have, except with 700lb springs in the front, and standard travel. And no CDC. Ive just been waiting a few days for the springs to settle, and waiting for my winch to arrive, before I lift the front more.

 

Sick rig !!!! I'm debating on a camper or cage
