I will be picking up my DCLB TRDOR 4x4 sometime next month and I would like to get about 2" over factory. I'm looking at purchasing the Stage 4 lift from Toytec and having it installed to get there. Aside from the kit, what else do I need to get? I figure replacement (longer) brake lines are a must, but I also read about "diff drops", relocating the sway bar, and other things. I would like to take everything I need into the shop and get everything done at one time so any help would be appreciated.

At 2", you would need to do the diff drop or at least I didn't. Sway bar I would do.

And shouldn't need longer brake lines.

Weird thing happened today. When I came home to put on my rear shocks. I went to take pictures of my hub to fender measurements for icon. Because I was only getting 1 3/8" of lift 22" from center of hub to fender with 2" of thread showing on drivers side and 1 5/8 of thread showing on passenger side. When I took pics with measurements both fronts were at 22 7/8"! My rears were both at 23 3/4"! Perfect! After putting on the rear shocks, I went for a drive to test it out. When I got back the fronts were back at 22" and rear drivers side was 23 1/4 and rear passenger was 24! Wth! Both times I measured the truck was parked inside my shop on level concrete ? Sending pic's and an email to icon in the morning.

Not a Chipotle within 50 miles of me. And if there was, I still wouldn't eat there.

Got the billet uppers with the mid travel set at 3" of lift! No sway bar for about 4 years. No before pic because I had a different kit on before this one

Sorry, but I'm not clear on what you are saying; I need to do the diff drop?

OK Icon has told me to get an alignment, and check measurements after. I will report back after.

I am going to throw it out there because it needs to be,,,,,
Who is getting a true 2" lift above factory?

My measurements pre-lift for a 2016 DCSB TRDOR 4x4 - center of hub to fender lip

    LF -20.5
    RF -21
    LR -21.75
    RR -22

Knowing that the we come with a 1" lift from factory seems with Icon, Fox, King, Allpro etc it would be easy to get to this:
AS an example for simplicity, no additional lift although desired for .5" or so, for LF lean.

    LF -22.5 (23)
    RF -23
    LR -23
    RR -23

No rake obviously which if fine to keep it simple.

The SR5's and TRD 2WD are achieving this with no issues, no UCA;s even, and a boat load of cab and UCA clearance. I can only attribute this to the 4x4 front axle position requiring UCA;s to clear the cab with bigger tires....... 33's. For the sake of this conversation 285-70-17 with Method NV's for the mix.

The 4x4 lifts seem to be having difficulty getting the a full 2" extra for a full 3" of lift. WHY? (TRDOR DCSB)
I have not seen anyone ask or get a response from ICON, FOX, KING as to why not.

If I am wrong please spell it out because I cannot find an answer anywhere.....
The pisser is it is holding me up to picking a kit, seems complacence rules after spending 2k or more for a lift ...I for one would would like to be able to get this and a bit more to accommodate the LF lean issue without a spacer.

Can anyone including the vendors @ToyTec Lifts @HeadStrong Off-Road @allpro @SDHQ OFFROAD ring in to shed some light on this?
Seems to be a fair question that would be nice to hear an answer that rings true to G3 lifts. TIA

I just got back from the alignment shop. I did Icon 2.5 extended travel coilovers in front Built Right Uca's and Icon progressive 3 leaf pack in rear with overload left in and the icon 2.0 shocks. I ended up getting 2" all the way around. That is what I was looking for as I wanted to keep the factory rake.
I had to set the driver side at a hair over 2"of threadshowing and passenger at 1 5/8" of thread showing. Iwas hoping to not have tocrank them that much but...Anyway I guess you could go higher but you would be going over what icon suggests. The ride like everyone says is stiffer but takes the bumps and holes great! I am running 265/75/16 Toyo at2's and have no plans on going bigger. Truck is a DCLB OR 4x4.
Center of hub to fender is
    Df22 1/2"
    Pf22 5/8"
Dr23 1/4" full tank of gas
    Pr24"
    Hope this helps someone. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

I just ordered a Icon stage 3 kit, spanner wrench, and 2 sets of remote reservoir clamps (for the rear) from autoanything.com and used the "contact us" feature to get 20% off everything. I'm not sure if its a July 4th promo or not but worth a try for anyone looking to buy an Icon kit right now and save some money.

Thanks for the heads up, this was just the incentive I needed for my Icons over 5100s or OME debate in my head .. just pulled the trigger on the same set up ... didn't opt for the clamps though. Was also on the fence about the UCAs but with the 20% off ... just had to do it.

Stage 3 w/ wrench .... under $2200 to my door.

For me, I was stuck between the Boss 2.0 Kit versus Icon Stage 2. After posting several Threads asking for opinions, asking fellow TW members what they installed and why, and doing research as well as pricing, I decided on the Stage Kit 2. I knew I did not need the Upper control arms as I was not going to be doing any heavy Off-roading especially on my Brand New 40k dollar truck. Also, why spend money on replacing upper control arms if I don't need them. As I set my budget to not be more than 3k after install, that limited my choices. Also, I knew I didn't need the Front res on, as well as the rear, but the Stage 2 kit came with them. I knew Icon was a very reputable company and a lot of positive feedback. I finally pulled the trigger.

It really depends on what your going to use the truck for, your budget, etc.

    Hope that helps.
