Yeah, I would think she rides more than a "little rough".

At first I was going to say, dang he got a lot of lift from those coils. I just swapped 700#'s to fix lost height from my bumper. I didn't get nearly that much.

Then I scrolled down to the zoomed in pic.

    Oh that's why...

That has to ride like a brick. :benchpress:

I know! I really didn't want it like this. I will have fun with for a few weeks and the bring it down. I really wanted a more stiffer ride and a firm level. The 650 springs seemed less responsive after a turn and the truck would seem to lean in the direction of the turn. The 700's have definitely fixed that. I will lower it and it will soften up a bit too:

Oh! While I'm here. This might seem obvious to some of you, but I searched long and hard and never found an actual answer to this. Coming from a lot of experience with import coilovers, I thought you could get away without...a coilspring compressor.

Turns out you can't even remove the stock 600# spring without one - even with the extended travel versions. So it's a must when swapping coils.

Further I needed a beer after doing installing the 700#'ers. First off the safety's on the compressor wouldn't latch and the hooks wouldn't fully go around my coils (due to thickness). I have an 18v impact that was fully charged. Maxing out the impact and watching the compressor bend, I still had to tap the coil bucket on with a mallet. I was so nervous I even threw on safety googles.

Here's a pic of mine while we are posting them. It's about an 3/4" higher in the front with the new coils (not pictured).

    Thanks for the "research" :)

I was going to try without one but had a hunch...

Lookin' sexy, where'd your bad ass rack go? :(

I found out after my truck was taken apart. So I had to put it back together and drive the parts store. :annoyed:

Well...as for the rack. It turns out I did a crappy job welding it in spots (didn't have the heat turned up enough) and it started rusting. It's off until it's a little warmer and I can fix all of the rust and repaint it.

So is anybody running their Icon kit without sway bar? How's the handling on pavement?

Need some help here guys! Just installed the Icon Stage 3 kit on my 2017 offroad double cab short bed. Dealership installed as part of the deal.

They put 285-70R17 Duratracs on ATX Cornice wheels (17x9 with -12 offset 4.53 backspace)

They rub, BAD. Like half turn on level pavement and it hits the frame mount.

Castor is set at maximum (according to the alignment guy). Front shocks are at Icon factory setting.

I need tire wheel suggestions that wont require cab mount chopping. Will a different wheel work for these tires and keep it from rubbing?

I got to newbie questions, I'm planning on getting a stage2 with 700lbs springs and everything I'm reading says theres a lot of trimming to fit 285/75/16. Would a CMC completely fix the rubbing? Also what backspacing and offset do you have for your wheels? Also do you know how much tread do you having showing? You truck looks badass btw, I hope mine turns out looking close to yours.

What are your actual alignment specs? Caster should be around +3

Is there a particular model spring compressor you used? Lots of options on Amazon.

I rented mine from autozone. It was two threaded rods with cast hooks on each end.
