Sorry it took so long to respond. I love the ride. To be honest, really haven't taken it Offroad yet. Just some minor logging trails. Been busy at work.

It's funny that you say this. Had my truck at Toyota for the "Crank Shaft Position Sensor" recall. They found my driver side front shock leaking too. It was from the lower seal. Took it back to Epic Customs who did the install.

After further investigation, I was past my 1 year warranty with Icon ;(. But after some TLC with Icon, they accepted to rebuild my shock "Free of Charge". Now I'm with out my truck for 1 week. Epic is doing the work for me. Great News that Icon will stand behind their product even though it was past the warranty by a Month or Two. I have the Icon Stage 2 lift FYI.

For the next week, borrowing the folks Toyota Avalon Hybrid.

Looking at Headstrong page on the Stage 4 system it says this...............

Note: 17" Wheel or larger with a maximum of 5" backspacing required for Icon upper control arms. See manufacturers website for additional wheel requirements.

Not understanding, lots of people are running stock wheels correct? I want to run stock wheels with 255 85 16...........am I missing something?

Ive had my stage 4 almost a month now. Im just noticing some knocking/clunking that sounds like it is coming from my UCAs? Has anyone else experienced this? i know some people say uni-balls can squeak, but clunking? Ideas what is it could be? I've gonna around and check it anything else may be loose. These are my first UCA with uni-ball so maybe Im just not expecting that.

Check the torque on you LCA bolts. Also check your sway bar end links if still attached.

Every thing looks and feels ok. Will try to get it off the ground tomorrow for a better look. I hear the noise a low speeds and turning and maybe more prominent coming from passenger side. Probably occurring at speed too, just can't hear it. Assuming its not the uni-ball thats rattling and that something else is loose. Hope to figure it out tomorrow

Make sure your LCA bolts are torqued to 100ft Ibs. Wouldn't hurt to check the torque on the uniball nut and also make sure your mis-alignment spacer is in the correct position on the bottom of the shock.

Going to order a ICON Stage 4 for my 2017 Tacoma TRD OR. I have about 120lbs added weight in the front from a winch and hidden winch mount. I also have RCI rock sliders. Will I be okay with 650lbs coils or would 700lbs coils be recommended?

Anyone running a stage 1 on their 3rd gen, or the regular 2.0 rear shock pt# 56503?

I know it's not a popular selection for obvious reasons. I have a 2nd gen, or 05 & up. The shocks I have are rated for 0-1.5" of lift. On a 3rd gen the same part# is rated for 0- 3" of lift.

I was trying to figure out if it is the same 56503 shock. Could there be a more specific or# or code that I missed?

I did see another number on the provided literature.

I have also seen different vendors list the same shocks for sale while giving different numbers for lift rates. I see most manufacturers usually have two different popular height versions, usually something for 0.1.5" to 3" or 6" lift. I also see custom lengths for Darkars or Expo leaf packs.

If I go to a leaf pack, Icon's in this case, I want to know if my 56503 would provide enough travel?

I realize a more capable shock in this case a 2.5 VS resi would provide a better ride, and handle the flex a leaf pack would provide.

The ICON 2.0 rr have 2 versions of the same shock. There is standard and extended travel. The standard 2.0 rear shocks works with OEM leaf pack or icon add a leaf. The 2.0 extended travel works with the OME Dakar leaf pack or a 3 inch lift. Of course you will also need extended brake lines with the extended rear shock setup. Not sure why people are bashing the 2.0's. Most will never even come close to fading the shock. They are solid and can handle everything you throw at em.

Than you for the reply, that's what I was thinking. The same part# was throwing me off, I'm guessing the extended travel version might state that it is in fact an EXT shock. I couldn't find the specs on the travel length.

I haven't driven too many miles yet, but I did notice what I thought was a bottoming out sound when make a right turn quickly. I think the AAL gave a lil more lift. Or the noise was something else.

2.0 was a upgrde over the 5100 I was using, and more than enough for my current use.

Icon stage 4 w/RXT leaf pack and shocks, Icon hydraulic bump stops, LT285/75R16 BFG KO2s, 30" Rigid light bar, HIDs, and window tinting. More to come...
Just pulled the trigger today on basically an upgraded stage 4 kit.

Went with the 2.5 RR coilovers, Icon tubular UCAs, RXT rears, and the RXT leaf pack. Got everything for a $3,250 and some change thanks to SDHQoffroad.

Can't wait to get them installed!
