Just found this on the Icon site:

Icon Vehicle Dynamics Suspension Question: How high can I adjust my coil-over shocks on my 4WD Tacoma?

On 4WD Tacoma's you don't want to adjust Icon Vehicle Dynamics coil-overs to more than 2.5" of lift. Any more than that puts excessive wear and stress on CV's and boots. The use of a differential spacer will allow you to go slightly higher.

I'm running the diff drop and the billet UCA's.

Also, see item 15 on this: http://www.socalsupertrucks.com/InstallationInstructions/IconVehicleDynamics/IVD58730.pdf

I have the 1" different drop and mine are slightly over 2" especially on driver side. My cv angle doesn't look terrible. It is a little stiff but far better than the bilsteins setup

I've had zero issues and I've got more or less 10k on mine. I had been toying around with lowering the front a bit because I think the Dakars have settled just a bit and I do want a little bit of rake. I've also added about 60-70 lbs to the bed with a Relentless Tailgate protector and a KBVoodoo basket. The ride improved and I don't have as many squeaks from the Dak's. I've got a front skid coming that will add a little more weight.

So I lowered my icons just now. Sitting right at 23 3/4 hub to fender. 2 3/8 showing on driver side and 1 7/8 on passenger. Rides alot better. Was a total of 4 full turns down per side.

    Great thread!

Newly installed Icon 2.5 Coilovers #58635 as delivered measurements:

    Driver: 1 5/16" of thread = 22" HC to Fender = 2" lift

    Passenger: 1 1/4" of thread = 22" HC to Fender = 2" lift

How it sits with new shoes:

Update #1: Dakar Leafs (CS047R) installed and measured as 23" HC to fender = 3" lift.

Leer DCC w/rear full doors and weatherguard pack rat 308-3 in back, so constant 500lb unloaded weight back there...Update #2: Will keep 1" Rake and measure after alignment and 100mi then 500mi torque checkpoints.

Depending on how the leaf springs settle/sag down, looking for 2"-2.5" lift with a rake <1".
This thread has helped alot in potential settings for level!

    Parts: DSM UCA - Icon 2.5 Ext.Travel - Dakar Leafs - ProComp 5001 16x8 - Grabber LT265/75/16E 123/120Q

Just found this thread, just to be sure, the fewer threads at the top, the higher the lift?

Want to make sure im rotating these the right direction :anonymous:

    More threads showing=more lift.
